Studiotech worked with Hoare Lea to deliver a dynamic lighting solution at Trafford Palazzo, bringing its iconic architecture to life through seamless control and design.
Studiotech worked with Hoare Lea to develop the solution leading to the supply and commissioning of all the architectural lighting across the project.
Extensive planning went into this complex project, with IBT Controls developing sixty-four separate design drawings throughout the detailed design stage. The control system needed to be able to send complex and dynamic commands to DMX luminaires, whilst from the same triggers also control DALI luminaire dimming profiles and colour temperatures to create truly stunning effects and transitions that bring the unique baroque style architecture of Trafford Palazzo – Trafford Centre to life.

Studiotech worked closely with Hoare Lea to deliver a complete architectural lighting system at Trafford Palazzo, covering everything from design input to supply and commissioning.
With the complexity of the building in mind, IBT Controls produced sixty-four detailed drawings to support the design and coordination process. A custom control system was developed to manage both DMX and DALI lighting, allowing the same triggers to deliver dynamic colour changes, dimming, and temperature shifts.
This setup helped bring out the unique character of the building, creating smooth, impactful lighting scenes that enhance its baroque-style architecture.
