Illuminating the iconic Covent Garden Market
Undoubtedly one of London’s most iconic destinations, Covent Garden has undergone a transformation with a new external lighting scheme aimed at elevating the visitor experience during evening hours.
Studiotech collaborated with BDP to produce the most impactful lighting solution for the transformation of this iconic destination. From designing custom-engineered elements to completing the installation, control, and programming, Studiotech took charge of the entire engineering and implementation process.

Studiotech designed and fabricated bespoke mounting channels, custom-engineered and finished in a colour that perfectly matched the building’s stone façade. This discreet, unobtrusive solution was thoughtfully crafted to respect the character of the heritage building.
Each enclosure was discreetly sized to blend with the building’s architecture and remain hidden behind the balustrades. Site visits with the client and heritage advisor helped finalise positions and colours before installation.
Studiotech provided a comprehensive set of detailed engineering drawings, offering full technical support throughout the project to ensure seamless integration and alignment with the design vision.
Control
The lighting system was controlled by Traxon e:cue sympholight, which allowed for seamless control of the entire project, creating an ambient atmosphere. The use of RGBW LED technology added a dynamic element to the lighting, offering a fun and engaging option for special events.
