Engineering design
Studiotech managed the entire engineering design solution, which included developing custom lanterns based on dpa’s original concept. Our broader scope included structural calculations, customised fabrication, installation, control and programming
Studiotech took charge of the entire catenary system, providing custom mounting brackets and columns as well as the design engineering and bespoke fabrication of the lantern-style luminaires.

Solution
Each lantern was crafted using fabricated aluminium caps with bevelled returns and painted to match the wider project branding; with an outer housing, shaped
from clear acrylic, completing the lantern’s distinct look.
These unique lanterns not only complement the development’s branding but also serve as a functional light source.
Experience
The suspended catenary lanterns above the public space not only enhance the vibrancy of the new neighbourhood but also echo the branding and ambiance of Berol Quarter, evoking a sense of familiarity for those who pass through.
