Feature Lighting - Pryme Street, Hull

Posted in Projects

Client:  PDR Construction

Scope of Works:  Design and fabrication of public art feature/entrance portal

Working alongside The Harris Partnership, Studiotech developed the design for this stunning entrance feature to meet a planning prerequisite for an element of public art on this development for Travelodge.

The inspiration for the piece was based on Hull's longstanding relationship with maritime trades and is representative of tidal waters, especially the rhythm of their ebb and flow.  The structure was fabricated in Hull by Gallagher Engineering Ltd and carries a fully controllable LED lighting system which slowly goes through transitional scenes to create the feeling of moving waters.

The feature lighting was installed by Studiotech's own engineers causing minimal disruption to the building itself.
